Namaste friends, family & loved ones,
We headed out early this morning to tour Kathmandu. At 8 am, we were the only tourists visiting the Monkey Temple and got to see the many local people coming to worship and take their morning walk. The cool morning air encouraged the monkeys to be even more active and entertaining than usual.
We also visited the Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath and the Hindu cremation site at Pashupatinath, both World Heritage Sites.
After lunch, we got our gear organized to fly up to the Khumbu. We’re really hoping that the clouds that have been hanging around for the last 2 days will clear so that we can fly first thing tomorrow. Some pics from the day are below!
